FCA sign defensive talent Sima Suso

FC Augsburg have added another promising young player to their ranks with the signing of Sima Suso. The 21-year-old defender joins FCA from Fortuna Düsseldorf and has signed a long-term contract until 30th June 2031.
Suso made 24 appearances in the 2. Bundesliga last season, scoring once. He has also been capped four times by Germany at U20 level. Developed partly in Bayer 04 Leverkusen’s academy, the left-footer stands out for his versatility. He can operate in defensive midfield, as a number eight or on the left side of central defence, as well as in both defensive and attacking roles on the left flank.
“Sima has a very exciting skillset. He can play in a number of positions and already has plenty of competitive experience despite his young age. The fact that he featured regularly in the 2. Bundesliga last season underlines both his potential and his quality. We are delighted that he has chosen to join us,” said FCA sporting director Benni Weber.
