FC Augsburg have added to their attacking options by signing Arijon Ibrahimović on loan from fellow Bundesliga side FC Bayern. FCA have an option to make the move permanent, with the two clubs agreeing not to disclose any further details of the deal.

Ibrahimović also spent last season out on loan, making 34 competitive appearances for 1. FC Heidenheim, scoring two goals and providing five assists. The 20-year-old German-Kosovan is capable of playing in a number of attacking positions, has represented Germany at every youth level and is currently part of the U21 squad.

“We’re delighted that Arijon has chosen to join FCA. He’s a young player who has already shown his quality in the Bundesliga and can operate in several attacking positions. His strength and determination in particular suit us and the way we want to play. At the same time, we believe there is still plenty more to come from him. We’re convinced that he can help the team straight away while also continuing to develop here,” said FCA sporting director Benni Weber.

“I’m really looking forward to this new challenge in Augsburg because FCA are an ambitious Bundesliga club. I also want to keep developing and play regularly. My aim now is to settle into the team as quickly as possible and contribute to a successful season,” explained Arijon Ibrahimović, who will wear the number 21 shirt for FC Augsburg.
