DFB-Pokal: FCA to face third-tier Großaspach in the second round

FC Augsburg will travel to third-tier side SG Sonnenhof Großaspach in the second round of the DFB-Pokal. The tie was confirmed in the draw at the German Football Museum, which was overseen by DFB vice-president Peter Frymuth, with World Cup winner Bastian Schweinsteiger drawing the teams.
After their 2-0 win in Cottbus, Manuel Baum’s side will now come up against one of just two third-tier clubs still in the competition. SG Sonnenhof Großaspach progressed from the first round by beating 2. Bundesliga side Arminia Bielefeld 3-0 on penalties.
The second-round ties will be played on 27th and 28th October 2026.
