After Fredrik Jensen secured qualification to the EUROS on Friday, Tin Jedvaj and Michael Gregortisch followed suit on Saturday with their respective national teams.

Tin Jedvaj and the Croatian national team booked their place at the EUROS with a 3-1 win over Slovakia. The World Cup runners up were trailing 1-0 at the break, but turned the game around with goals from Nikola Vlasic, Bruno Petkovic and Ivan Perisi. Tin Jedvaj played the full 90 minutes for the Group E winners.

Thanks to goals from Bayern’s David Alaba and Gladbach’s Stefan Lainer, Michael Gregoritsch’s Austria also celebrated qualification to the pan-European championship next summer. The ‘ÖBF Eleven’ beat North Macedonia 2-1, thereby securing a top-two finish in their qualifying group. With one round of fixtures still to come, Austria could yet win the group.

Iceland were without Alfred Finnbogason as they rounded off their group qualifying campaign with a 2-1 win in Moldova. The FCA goalscorer sustained an injury in the goalless draw with Turkey on Thursday so was not included in the squad. Iceland missed out on direct qualification, finishing third in the group, but they continue to hold out hope for EURO2020 via the playoffs.
